Microsoft Complete: Unfairly Priced outside US?

Why is Microsoft Complete for Surface Pro so much more expensive in the UK (£150) than USA ($150) when the Microsoft Complete for Surface (RT) has been sensibly priced (£79 vs $99).

I really hate it when companies do these straight Dollars to Pounds Conversions. I know UK price includes VAT etc but surely £115 would be a more sensible price?

Because Britain.

I've long since gave up trying to figure out why we get screwed over so bad. I'm just thankful I don't live in AU.

We have the same problem here in Sweden, everything costs a lot more because of the straight conversion they do and then blame it on the taxes and other costs involved. It's no joy but what can you do.. just accept it and try to look happy. :(

The Out Of Warranty service in the UK is £250. That is correct if you damage your device it will cost you £250 to get a refurb (not another £1100).
Microsoft Complete is £150 upfront and an additional £50 deductible.
Is MC worth it? Not to me but it depends on your approach to risk.

Thanks for the advice. If out of warranty service is only £250 in the UK, I really unsure if I should bother with Microsoft Complete at its current price.

What is "out of warranty service"? I specifically asked Surface Support here in the US if they offered a repair service for those that damaged their SP3 but don't have Complete, and they said no.

Don't you Brits also pay like $6-7 per gallon for gas (petrol)? I'm not so sure the higher costs for this particular service is an "American goods sold overseas" thing, but I'm no expert on the matter.

It's what Microsoft UK refer to a repair/replacement for anything that is not covered by the standard warranty ie cracked screen. It's their terminology not mine.
