Microsoft replaced my surface pro 2 with pro 3

It was a month old so it looked brand new (and the new one does too, over two years later). The guy in that post admitted his screen was all scratched up. There are plenty of idiots on reddit.

Thats true ^^ but some light cosmetic damage from normal uses is not an argument or?

I think you will be fine. If your display has craters in it like the reddit guy then that's another matter. They fix the broken units and send them out as refubs. Would you be disappointed if you received your current unit as a replacement? If not then you are probably good.
