It looks like the hardware is going to be top notch, and they'll need to be to compete with the quality of Apple hardware. They are now, essentially, running the same type of CPU/GPU/Memory architecture in this form factor. It will be interesting to compare the performance differences. You can run Linux on both -- Linux is quite mature on the older M1/M2 CPU's.

“Top notch hardware?” WHAT for? Windows on ARM still sucks. If this is intended for AI you will need the highest RAM possible BUT it will cost more than a house and yet again in less than Year will be absolute as AI goals are moving so fast. A Gaming machine? Well may be but gaming on ARM is not something a gamers want. Creators? The little creative software available for Windows on ARM is not as fully futured as on x86 Windows machine. Competing with Apple )))) In what form? Buying an over £4000 pease of kit to run LINUX ))) Then WHOM is this machine for? Yet another MS marketing flop.
