My sons Windows 7 computer is an all in one with a huge touch screen. I don't know if Win 8 would work as well on it as it does on the Surface Pro.

I might put it on there and see.

IMO Windows 8 will always be better than Win7 on a touch-screen device. Any Windows OS before Win8 was just not made with touch in mind. I find it a pain to interact with my Win8 Desktop on the SP3 via touch.

Now if we're talking about desktop computers instead of laptops, I think touch is useless there (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong in your situation). The problem with touch on a desktop PC is that it's very unnatural to have to reach up and touch the monitor all day, and interact with it in that way. Especially if you were doing a lot of stuff at once, your arms would grow tired I would think, holding them up all the time.
