Today I just realized that using the registry editor after the update is impossible. It cannot be run as and administrator cause it gives you an error, and thus you cannot change permissions to registry keys.
I had changed some keys in registry before the update so that I could use my legacy DMR Denon Home Cinema to listen music from surface.
The keys are there but now I cannot add my Denon as a DLNA uncertified Device so I cannot use it with the new Metro interface.
So lame at first place from Microsoft to disclude all those devices that have Dlna Certification anyway.

i had the same problem, well I wanted to use my sd card to store apps, but I had to do it via the administrator account you have to activate. Though I'm not sure if that will happen to be the same in your case

Start->powershell (Administrator) -> type regedit

Running as admin.

Seems to work for me.
