My Surface Pro 2 8gb 256 will be here Monday. Ordered it directly from Microsoft. It says it has 8.1 installed but will still need to update the firmware. After reading all the trouble I guess I'll hold off with doing that. This will be the site to keep me informed of the fixes. Thanks.
