SDXC card for camera not recognized in pro 3

I did a search on this but everything was about inserting a microsd into the microsd slot. My case is I have a sdxc card that works well on my camera but when i put it into my pro 3 using a card reader, it asks to format it. I thought it should be natively supported? Any ideas?

I've seen this happen because due to unrecognized File System or Partition Table, or the Camera Protects the Data on the Card...
