Sp3 won't recognize usb hub with mouse and keyboard

Sorry if this isn't the correct place to place my question but I really need help since the usb hub for mouse and keyboard I've been using for the past months suddenly can't be recognized anymore. I can individually plug the mouse and keyboard and they can be recognized. Im not sure if this happened after the last system update. I've been having problems like the type cover not working when on the angled position and now this. It seems the product is breaking down just after 1 year of use

Do you have anything substantial that actually leads you to think it is the surface and not the hub? have you bought a replacement hub so as to troubleshoot it?

I've tried the hub on another pc and it was detected. I've also tried another hub and the result was the same
