Surface 3 CMOS Battery

I am replacing the screen and also want to reset the BIOS. From what I've read people seem to think there is NOT such a battery and that the main battery keeps the clock and BIOS settings, but there is something that most definitely looks like a CMOS battery. If this is a CMOS battery, can I reset the BIOS by removing it temporarily? Or does it act as a backup to the main battery keeping the clock and BIOS settings and so on?

Edit: I can post a photo if need be.

Photos would be enjoyable. Probably the only way to know what it will do is to remove/replace it and see since it's not intended to be serviced there are no guides or instructions. They literally saved billions by eliminating all that kind of stuff... OR at least a couple a bucks anyway...
