Surface Pro 9 no longer charging via USB-C

Hello, I've always charged my Surface Pro 9 via USB-C and have plenty of chargers and cables able to do this. Now my device has suddenly refused to accept any charge via USB. My chargers and cables still work for everything else. Why has this happened and how can I remedy this? Power cycling did not help. I have no use for Surface products if they do not charge via USB.

lacking any other information and assuming you are in the winter months when static is prevalent I'd make a SWAG (Scientific Wild Ass Guess) that the charging circuit got fried by static discharge. Hopefully, your Surface Connect port still charges via the original charger.

During this season I always try to remember to discharge on something else before touching my Surface or connecting the charging cable.

Yeah it does seem like a hardware issue as I subsequently found that USB drives/headphones no longer work either.
