Hi

I have a MS Surface Book, and there are serveral units in my company as well.

All most all the Book are abnormally hot. I can cook a hot meal on it.

I have downloaded the lastes driver for the book, and also for the docking.

Any idea of what it can bee?

Have you used other surface products under heavy load? My surface pro 3, if I"m using it to play a game or compiling video will get uncomfortably hot. I simply attributed it to the metal housing efficiently transferring heat from the heat sink. If you or somebody you know has access to a IR thermometer readings would be helpful.

Hopefully the surfacebook housing isn't too reflective to interfere with IR readings.

Better yet, download HWMONITOR or core temp and take a look at your temps. You can also check task manager to see what's running in the background.

They are not used under heavy load. Mine is used for remote desktop (servers), webbrowsing, and other smaller stuff. No gaming og compiling of some sort.

Dont have an IR reading, but donwnloaded HWMonitor, so I let it go in background and see :)

That's very weird. Mine runs cool, but gets warm, not hot when gaming. Do you have cases fitted that are blocking the vents?
