Trading in iPhone?

Ok, I might be crazy but I thought I read somewhere that Microsoft Stores were accepting iPhones (along with Macbook Airs and other Surfaces) for store credit when buying a new Surface Pro 3.

Anyone else know about this? I have a perfectly working iPhone 4S that I don't use and have no plans for. Thoughts?

You might actually get more from Gazelle, but I do know the MS Store does have a trade in program, I traded in my wife and Son's SP2s and S2s to get them their SP3s....

Try BestBuy. You can find how much they will pay you at their Site.

There was a $200 promo for iphones, but I think that has ended:

I would seriously stay away from these trade in programs! You will lose way to much money on these devices, try selling them on kijiji or Craigslist... you'll get more money for your devices.

True! The only problem with eBay is that the ancillary costs (PayPal, I'm looking at you!) is relatively high - though perhaps the net outcome would still be better than Gazelle.

Good points! IF you are just interested in a quick, easy transaction, Gazelle is the way to go. They are offering $110 for good condition 16gb iPhone 4s, BUT $35 of that $110 is if you get the phone unlocked first.

On eBay, the same unlocked phone is trending around $180 - 220. So if you have the time, you're right you will lose some of that $$ to that eBay and Paypal fees, but you'll still make more than Gazelle.
