Just tried to install Avast Premier on my desktop with Windows 10 and it won't let me.

Even in compatability mode it will not let Avast install.

:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Are there any < good > virus programs that will install in Windows 10?

Bear in mind that Win 10 is still Beta.

I have heard that antivirus is an area right now that is not happy with Win10.

Use the default Windows Defender until at least the Developer Preview when the AV ISVs start making their software compatible with Windows 10.

Most anti virus software very much operates at the system level and if it doesn't integrate well it will cause problems. Hold off until you find one that says it has Win10 support if you want to be certain it will not mess it up.

OK, thanks for the quick replies :)

I feel naked without my AVAST.

Defender is pretty lame but that and the firewall is all we have, for now, I guess.
The virus companies probably won't bother fixing their stuff until the public version comes out because they would have to keep making change after change to keep it running due to changes in Windows 10 as the develop it.
I can understand why they don't rush in.
I was < hoping > one of the free programs would be compatible ... oh well.

I'm using Bitdefender 2015 Total Internet Security, and also Malwarebytes in the latest Win10 build.

You should not take Avast. Take Microsoft Defender (Buildin) + Malwarebytes free version. It defends for every needs
