Will 16v Kill My SB?

I've just taken delivery of a Kickstarter-funded G-RO luggage bag with integral charger.

It looks great, but the charger can only be set to output 12v or 16v - 12v will be a safe albeit slow charge, but will 16v do it any damage?

What do we reckon...?

Hi what makes you think 16V will be faster than 12V?

I reckon the output current of your luggage bag is important in determining charge rate. Does the luggage bag battery pack have a current limiting device?

The dc-converters in the Surface which manage the charging of the individual Li-ion cells are typically over-specced so it is very unlikely that 16v will harm your device.

^ in other words, is the luggage bag charger intelligent so it will respond to and adapt to the device it's charging.

I know that 12 volts will not charge my Book at all. But 12 volts will slowly charge the clipboard alone. It wasn't important enough to me to try 16 volts. I doubt there would be an issue, but it just wasn't worth the worry to me.
