Duplication of handwriting

Hi guys, first time forumee, long time forum voyeur...

My surface pro 3 has started duplicating words when using the handwriting panel. For example : if the panel has "red cars go" by the time I've entered it it can look like "red carred cars go". Has any one else experienced this, and does anyone have a fix? Thanks in advance.

I haven't seen that but you posted in FAQs and Guides so I'm moving this but you didn't mention your OS or the app or if it's only that one app. For the moment it's being moved to the SP3 forum.

Ah,operating system is Win 8.1, and it happens in Word (pretty sure it is 13 that I have loaded.)
