Free engraving in Japan

MS Japan is offering free engraving on SP3s purchased through the online store until 1/25, or the first 500 customers, similar to what Apple offered in the past for new iPhone purchases. I wonder if this is just for Japan, or something that will be rolled out to other territories as well.

It would be really hard to resell though.
And a lot of companies use different return policy for engraved devices.

I like the idea, but as above, it Will effect resale value. Keep engraving for your Zippo or whatnot.
