Gmail App

Just got my shiny new Surface Pro 3 and I was wondering about an app to read my email. I currently use Gmail but it looks like they don't offer a windows app.

I know I can just access Gmail in a browser, but I thought an app on the tablet might be a more readable experience.

MetroMail in the windows app store is the one I use. It's the best one I've found that's able to work with labels similar to the GMail app.

I've found nothing which is as good or even close to the gmail app - especially for acceptable email syncing times. Metro mail doesnt display all emails correctly.

The generic Mail app syncs emails horribly. I use Outlook desktop.

I have been trying Touch Mail and I like the interface so far.

For desktop-ey rather than tablet-ey use Thunderbird does a really solid job of Gmail, and with a couple of extensions will sync google calendar and contacts too.
If you use a larger theme it's even a bit touch-friendly, the only shortfall being no auto-keyboard as with most desktop apps.
