I'm having a bit of a nightmare putting videos from DVD onto my micro SD card.
I've got a 64gb card in my Surface RT.
I rip the DVD onto my computer's hard drive and I've been using Handbrake to convert into mp4 files.
I've done this with 14 different DVDs. 5 have worked perfectly. I have them in a folder on my SD card called videos. I can select them and they play immediately through the Video App. The other 9 files won't play at all. It says that the file type won't play, it may be unsupported or corrupt.
I think it might be that the Handbrake settings have changed to default since I converted the first 5 discs.
Does anybody know the best settings for Handbrake to convert the files, or can anyone suggest what I may have done wrong?
    It's driving me mad.

    Thank you

Here are my settings. I am using the 64-bit version of HandBrake with the Intel QuickSync hardware encoder. I can convert a high-definition movie with surround sound into something Surface-friendly (MP4 file, 1366x768 H.264 video, AC3 stereo audio) in about 10 minutes using an Intel Core i7-3770T and Windows 7 64-bit.

Save this file as Surface.plist and then import it into Handbrake using the Presets menu.
