Windows 10 Noob Question

Sorry if this has been answered before

I bought surface pro 3 brand new with windows 8

Formatted and installed windows 10 preview manually

Its all upto date, do I need to format and fresh install a new official windows 10? Or will the existing preview do fine? I'm just worried that they said you have 1 year to install and windows 10 and I really don't want to reformat

It should update to the released version.
Open a command prompt and check the version with the "winver" command. Type Winver and hit enter.
You should have Version 10.0 (Build 10240).

If not Update it with the Media Creation Tool. Just run the tool and Upgrade this PC now.

so I don't have to anything really?
