action center

I have a new surfacepro3 and the action center is annoying the hell out of me, especially when on the internet. it is continually popping up as I try to navigate. Is this typical or do I have software problem? If I go into the code and remove or disable it will it cause other problems?

If it keeps popping up it is because you are accidentally swiping from the right bezel.

I do not known if you can disable, and if so, what ramifications there may be, but I'd like to learn if it is possible. I loathe all swipe in actions.
