audio interface

I am trying to use my Zoom H6 as an audio interface for my Surface Pro 4. i am do doing this to get better audio when recording video on the Surface. It seems to work when I record the video, however when I go to playback the video I get an error message saying the format is not supported. The extension for the file is mp4. Any suggestions?

Sounds like a codec issue. Have you tried VLC player?

I just tried that and received construction cone icon. Everything works great on my laptop, which is also windows 10. I'm just a dumb musician!
