Backing up Removable Media in Win8?

I added a 64GB microSXDC card in my Surface Pro. Regardless of how I mount the card (Drive letter or NTFS folder), the volume does not appear in the Microsoft backup utility to be able to back it up. My WHS v1 server does appear to backup the contents when it's mounted as an NTFS folder, but when I try to view the files I'm told I don't have permission despite being a local admin.

Anyone find a way to get an automated backup of their removable media short of scheduling an XCOPY or similar command?

Did you format it in your Surface tablet or on another system?

What are you using? Easy Transfer or File History?

Sorry, didn't notice Windows 8 forum :LOL:

I started out with it as a FAT partition from the factory and then later formatted it as NTFS from the Surface.
