First purchase of my own, need help

Might sound like a completely stupid question, but I'm looking at buying a surface pro 3 off of amazon as I already have Microsoft office and security licenses to use but I'm wondering if it will come with windows 8.1 already on it, I know it sounds stupid but it's the first windows item I'm buying for myself so don't know if it needs to be bought separately, hope I don't sound too idiotic.

Yes, it will come with 8.1 but you will still need updates.
