Hero Academy (Steam) Problem

Just unboxed my new Surface Pro 2 and installed Steam. Hero Academy fired right up, but I cannot make any move. The UI responds to button presses for Play, game selection, etc. However, I'm not able to move any pieces.

Has anyone else seen this problem in HA specifically, any other Steam games generally? Any work around or solution?

Well it might not be compatible with Windows 8.
Try to search for keyboard mappings in the in-game settings menu.
The first time i loaded up counter strike the controls weren't set.

I should have posted a follow-up. It works fine, just not with touch. Using the trackpad on the Type 2 cover or the Logitech T630 BT mouse, everything works as expected. I wonder if they'll ever update it for touch. At any rate, all is good (but not touch-enabled).
