My case use is... everything.

I bought the touch cover but I never use it. I'm holding one hand now and typing with the other. That's how I like to use it.
The weight gets to me after awhile. My mom bought a galaxy note 10.1 and its alot lighter than my surface. I was hoping the surface 2 was around that weight but I guess not.

Then your use case is indeed out of line with the typical targeted Surface use case: Office productivity, cover/keyboard use. (Not that people can't use it without a keyboard, but that makes the most out of Surface.) Holding it in one hand and typing in the other--have you tried using the split on-screen keyboard instead, with two hands?

In any case, since you don't use Office and said nothing about being wedded to the Windows RT/8 platform, I'd recommend going to a smaller-inch plastic tablet.
