Keep plugged in or run on Battery?

The Firmware prevents the continued charging of the battery when plugged in and when the Battery reaches 100%, AC Only. I posted the Surface Engineering Team's best practice a few posts ago.
Perfect! Many tx!

with over a year since the original post, just wondering if there are any lessons learned or better ways to manage battery wear. surface is 80-90% plugged in, and usually when unplugged, only for a few hours. On long trips it could obvious be for the day, but that is the exception. So, just wondering if unplugged for the few hours, is it ok to plug it in again right away or let it drain to some percentage before plugging in.

The battery in the SP4 is based on the same technology as other lithium ion batteries which means that there is no memory effect from charging before it is fully discharged, so feel free to plug it in whenever you can. As jnjroach mentioned right from the start, discharge the battery once a month to keep it calibrated.

thanks, just wanted to be sure nothing has changed after a year of actual usage and experience
