Plugged in but not charging

My Surface is now at 50% and draining even though the light on the charger is lit. The message I get (above) is not helpful. Soon I will be dead....what can I do?

It has been charging less and less overnight each day for the past few days. Could the battery be bad?

If I had a nickle for every time I've seen that thread title.

My suggestion would be to try a replacement charger. You have little to lose.
