The following guide introduces the conversion solution for watching Blu-ray, DVDon Windows 8 tablet with embedded srt/ass subtitle.
Required software:

How to convert Videos and Rip Blu-rays/DVDs to Windows 8 Tablet
Step 1. Load Blu-ray/DVD movie and videos the all-in-one converter.
Run the Windows 8 Blu-ray Ripper, click “Load BD/DVD” to load your DVD and Blu-ray disc, you are also allowed to import Blu-ray/DVD ISO or IFO and Blu-ray/DVD folder.
The DVD/Blu-ray movie is displayed in a directory. Click the triangle arrow to expand the directory. Basically the main movie is included in the first Title, so you can check the main title (usually the one with longest duration) only and leave other extras unchecked. You may also view movie chapters and videos in preview window.
Step 2. Set audio track and subtitles for selected chapters.
You can select audio track and subtitle (if necessary) for Blu-ray and DVD movies. Click on the Audio box and select an audio track with desired language. Set subtitles in the same way. There is a box of “Force Subtitles” too.
Note: You can also add subtitles to your Blu-ray/DVD movie file, Click “Edit” button. the video editor will Pop up. Click on “Subtitle” option and check the “Enable” icon. Then, by clicking on “Browse” to import your *.srt, *.ass or *.ssa subtitle file.
Step 3. Set Windows 8 friendly output format.
Click on the “Format” bar and there are various output formats for you to choose from. As we’re converting videos to Windows 8Tablet, you may follow “Windows”-> “Microsoft Surface Windows RT H.264 Video (*.mp4)". This format gives video of 1280x720, which fits for the 16:9 screen of Windows 8 and Microsoft Surface slab.
Step 4. Start converting Blu-rays, DVDs to Windows 8 optimized video files.
Now click "Convert" button to start ripping Blu-ray and DVD movie or converting video to customized MP4 videos. Wait till the conversion finished. Once the conversion task is finished, you can click “Open” button to get the final output files for your Windows 8.
