Soldering on hinge mechanism is it ok for new device?

Hi, 2 days ago I bought sp3, and noticed this!
Is it normal for new device? Or is it restored version?

Ain't that the truth... I'm always guilty of this tendency to fret over every little thing when I buy a cherished new machine. It usually takes me a few weeks before I relax and stop paying attention to every little flaw (real or imagined).

A symptom of my OCD, I suppose...
