SP4 Pen button does not open OneNote

Go to bluetooth in the settings page, and pair the pen.

Even after changing the battery, my Surface wouldn't recognize the pen. I tried it with another SP4 from here in the office and it worked like a charm. Guess I've got to exchange the original pen for a new one.

just call up surface support and they'll send you a new pen

If you've used it on another machine and the pen works fine, then why do you think you need a replacement pen?

Are there any issues with your device when pairing the pen?

I didn't use the pen on another machine. I brought another pen to my machine.

After talking we Microsoft, we deactivated the "new" pen and when we tried to pair the old pen it worked perfectly. Don't know why this made a difference, but everything is great now.

The Bluetooth on the SP4 has to be on in order for the pen button to activate OneNote.
