Touch cover not recognized

I don't know if I accidentally changed a setting or something, I can't do anything with the touch cover, I have to use the onscreen keyboard. Any advice on what I should check?

reattching the touch cover doesn't do anything?

Try shutting down the Surface, reattach the cover, and reboot.

I just shut it off a while, and when I started it back up it worked fine, thanks.

Yeah, that happened to me once. I just restarted and it recognized the cover just fine.

Touch Cover

Anyone have issues with the touch cover being recognized/responding at times? Most of the time when I have it closed up and then start using the Surface, it won't recognize it and I have to unhook it and then reconnect for it to work, and sometimes that doesn't solve it either.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Happened once to me but a log out and back in fixed it.
