Ultra Wide Monitor 2560 x 1080

Hi,
I want to get an ultra wide monitor with a screen resolution of 2560 x 1080 pixels.
Does it work with my Surface 3? Any downsides to consider?

Use the forum's search function upper right to enter that resolution and you will find several threads with discussions regarding your monitor questions and concerns.

I connected the surface 3 to LG ultrawide 29um57 (21:9 2560x1080). But 1920x1080 is the highest resolution that I can choose. I have tried different displayport to hdmi adaptor or a cable with displayport to hdmi.... can't find any solution here...
