    4 years of software support seems very good to me by tablet standards that is far above and beyond what you get with Apple/Android. Chances are at today's rate of improvement the hardware will be outdated far before the software support ends. Good on MS I say.

    I agree on all counts and it IS far longer than Apple's support. Mainstream tablets have hardly been out that long.

    That's quite generous indeed. The Motorola Xoom has been out for exactly two years and isn't getting the current Android (4.2), but did get 4.1 (I'm not sure if officially, though). That's way better than most Android devices already.

    That is very good. I own an original iPad and it no longer receives any sort of iOS updates at all.
