    Hi,

I've got this surface pro 3 that has been around for just more than a year. I've noticed that it's been running quite hot, and just recently I heard like a crackling noise from it. I fear this might be hardware related problem.

so overheating is my top problem at the moment.

Also, I always leave it running overnight (with power on and power plugged in). Just recently, I've seen it restarting itself. How do I know this? my both external screens go blank and when I wake it up, it goes to the windows 10 login screen. I put in my password and it loads up all the startup applications.

I believe that the restart might be to do with windows update as well. But I'm not sure if this is to do with overheating issue.

My docking station is also quite hot as well.

I have to admit that I haven't had a good experience with SP 3 so far.

I don't know what to do to solve the overheating issue. The restarting by itself, at this stage, might be to do with windows update.

    Please enlighten me on this.

Thank you very much in advance
