One Drive Folder, whats in it if I don't store anything on my computer?

I've got a One Drive folder that has nothing in it but it takes up a lot of memory when I check out the storage required for it.

I want to put it on a memory card and free up the memory on the SSD. What happens if I use the computer without the One Drive folder on it?

Also, when I try to select the destination folder for new files in the settings menu (10) I can't select One Drive, only the C drive or another local drive that is connected to the computer.
