My father in law has Office 2013. All his calendar/contacts/emails are there. Now he got a new phone with Android 5.1 Lollipop (I think). It had him use his gmail account to setup his phone. But now no calendar and contacts. How can he sync his outlook with his android phone? I can't find any easy answer that is "free" and won't cost money to sync. All he wants is his outlook calendar and contacts synced so he work on his phone and his outlook.

This may help with the calendar part How to Sync Your Google Calendar with Outlook

On the contacts issue a true sync is a tad more complicated but to get the contacts into Google is easy. Export the contacts in Outlook to a VCF file and import them into Google.

Is he using a local copy of his calendar or something like Outlook.com?
