Sound when I plun in my GoFlex

Every time I plug in my Seagate GoFlex (or eject it), the Surface makes an annoying sound like a toilet flushing. Anyone have any idea how to turn the sound off? I went into PC Devices Notifications and turned notification sounds off, but it still makes the sound.

That WOULD be annoying. Hope someone can explain it.
