Type Cover Backlighting Settings

Is there a way to keep the type cover back lighting always on when S4P is on wall power (or 2nd choice any time screen is on) ?

I don't have an answer for you but I know what you mean. When it's dark and you want to start typing and can't see the keys. What I have found helps is if you just touch the track pad, the keyboard will light up and you can see where to place your hands to start typing.
