Copied 6.5 GB zip file - Surface Pro 3 Recovery Image 65 MBps
Same unzipped 193 files 135 folders : started off slow gradually picked up speed finished at 64MBps. The first 10% went from KBps to 1 MBps, to 1.4 MBps then it started on the wim files and climbed up to 65MBps.

I did try HdTune, it didn't do as well only about 32MBps and it crashed on the file test... Something is wrong with hdtune.

In my experience you are unlikely to reach the stated performance on any SD card. All the performance figures are under optimal conditions that most people will never experience.

An external Micro SD Card (MSD) AKA TF Card (128GB in your case) is and always was intended as space to store media files. Books, pictures, videos, movies, music files, backups etc. are what you should be putting there.

Wait Wait, how on earth do you get a book onto an SDCard??

ARE YOU MAD?!

Im sorry, but for a copy of a 1Gb-3GB file, I dont get more than a spike of about 4-5MB/second... sometimes as LOW AS 100KB/sec... Pathetic.

I'm on an old sandisk (old, bought it for my original htc desire, not an extreme model or anything).

Copying a 3gb video file from the card was a steady rate of 20MBs, writing the same file back onto the card was a steaky 4.5-5MBs. I'll upload a shot of crystal diskmark once it fiishes.

all i know from my experience, is it takes a long ass time to copy anything to the card, but that it fine for streaming all my movies off.
