Yes - I am using it a lot. It works "OK". Occasionally it goes nuts and starts consuming 100% CPU for a while (but this could also be due to the hosted Android doing some cleanup).
And it oftentimes (>50%) hangs after sleeps or powering off and on again, i.e. the VM has apparently a hard time to survive the host device going to sleep and wake up again. YMMV.
I use it mostly for reading magazines that can only be accessed using their special app and it works as expected for that.
Re. performance (your actual question): I never found the performance an issue. The performance feels at least as fast if not faster than on my phone.
