apps on surface and laptop

If I buy an app on my Surface do I still have to buy the app on my laptop to play the app on my laptop?

i think it's tied to your account, so you shouldn't have to buy it again

You can have your Paid Apps on 5 trusted devices, tied to your Microsoft Account. In the Store swipe down from the top of the screen and select Your Apps to install.

It also syncs settings from your Apps, like I have the TrackSeries app installed on my laptop, desktop, and Surface and it updates on each device when I add a new show. Usernames and passwords seem to sync too.

I think every app supports x86, x64, and ARM processors (I checked a few and they all did). The RT runs ARM apps of course.
