Are You Using SmartGlass to Connect Your Win 8 Phone to Your Surface For GPS

I have a Surface Pro 2 that is, of course, not GPS equipped. But my Nokia 920 Windows phone is. A Surface CSR recommended that I connect them via SmartGlass so I have a GPS on my Surface.

Are any of you doing this? Is it meeting your expectations?

I searched on GPS and carefully read the found posts. None seemed promising but I am hoping that there are recent developments.

The CSR seems to be mistaken as SmartGlass connects a device to an Xbox.....

Yeah, I knew that was the original intent but I was hoping that the functionality had been expanded.

Bluetooth doesn't seem to be the answer either.
