Battery limit feature for Base (sb 1)

I've read different accounts about the battery limit option via an UEFI setting:
- people who had just the screen limited to 50% and not the base (this is what I have)
- suggestions that after updates both were limited to 50% (though I've only seen evidence for SB2 / 3)

So has this feature been extended to include the base for SB 1, or is it still only available on the screen?
