Fifa 16 game crashes on surface pro 4

Hi i recently installed fifa 16 on my i7 surface pro 4 and it keeps crashing after i load an actual match.

The main menu's and practise arena all work fine but as soon as it launches and starts a actual match, i get a BSOD with the following error:

WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR



I have installed latest updates on the sp4 and still it crashes

This guy managed to run it fine on his sp4

FIFA 16 on Surface Pro 4 i5 8gb ram

Any suggestions?

i tried the following:

1. Window or full screen mode:
2. Disabling origin overlay
3. Locking fps to 30, 60 or no limit
4. Ran the game in admin mode
5. Tried various different resolutions

On a side note: Metal Gear solid 5 works and plays fine on the same device.

I can play Rainbow Six Siege, MW3 and many other games!!!

I get the exact same error as you when I try to start a game on Fifa 16?

The game loads and everything else but crashes with WHEA Uncorrectable error as a game is about to start....


I have done a fresh install, reset SP4 updated everything but why does this one game keep crashing???

This is my second SP4 and the game initially worked and I could play but after a couple updates it just doesn't...

I really don't know what the issue is as other games load with no issues!!!

Please let me know if you found a solution

Hi mate

My SP4 is the i7/256/16gb ram version.

I so want to play this game but the Whea Uncontrollable error is annoying!!

The game used to work before the December device software upgrade...now it doesn't!!!

RAINBOW SIX SIEGE, PES 2016, NBA 2k16 all play without any issues!!!

It is definitely a software issue with Windows 10

Hi, Intel just released a beta driver for their 6th gen chip here Download Intel® Beta Graphics Driver for Windows® 7/8.1/10* [15.40]
It seems to let me run FIFA 16 on my SP4 i7/256/16gb! Yay!

By the way, I find that it gets sluggish quite quickly - can you tell me what game settings you use? Or do you find it get sluggish too?

Yes mine gets sluggish too

So weird!!!

Game bloody loads now but feel like I am playing in slow mo!

Game settings are all set to low

Maybe you can give feedback to Intel on the Beta drivers? I will provide feedback aswell

This game is too good to play sluggishly!!

any fix for the sluggish gameplay? If you minimize the gameplay window to small the game works perfect... in full view it gets sluggish

All on low settings as well

I've put mine all on low settings and in full screen mode, and it seems to work fine (not sluggish) on my machine. The resolution I set it to was 1280x800 and disabled windows aero theme:

The only weird behaviour is if I tap on the screen or click on a mouse, the full screen turns into windowed mode, and when I resize that it becomes sluggish. As long as I leave it in full screen, it seems to play well.
