I'm considering giving up my ipad for a surface, but tablet theft and subsequent data theft and identity theft is all very high risk with a tablet.
Apple actually addresses this quite nicely with the self destruct all data after 10wrong logins feature, the find-my ipad GPS tracking feature is fairly robust and just plain works, and I also have an app called IcaughtU that uses the front facing camera to take a picture and email to me whenever someone enters the wrong login password.
I'm not aware of win8 integrating any features like these. Also with a bootable USB drive (I assume it is bootable?) just about everything is bypassable. Is anyone using any 3rd party apps that mimick the Apple features described above? If M$ is going to invest heavily in the tablet market, they really need to step up security measures.
