I5 or i7 for lightroom/little games? It's true the throttling problem?

Hi, i am new and i am near to buy a surface pro 4.
I need the computer for import photos into lightroom, make some fix and export them to whatsapp, facebook or import again in my main pc desktop.
I wanna a daily machine for this and surface give me also pen.
I doubt about 3 things:
1) what is better i5 or i7? (The conifg will have 8gb and 256gb )
2) it is true the throttling problem or microsoft fixed it?
3) It is a good idea take 12" or go to other device with 13"and more?

The i5 could easily handle your photo editing and tasks you listed but the i7 is definitely faster and also comes with the higher-end iris graphics on chip. This will allow you to handle better games and graphics related tasks. I find the size of the SP4 more than adequate for professional design use and web development.

Do you think that the i5 will be more cold than i7?.
I refund the i7 for excessive warm and hot

I would stick with the I-5 sp4 as it will do everything you need, I use mine a lot for quick edits of photos and do touch ups with the pen... does a great job

Have you found it hot with photo editing or big cpu works?
How many hours is the battery life?

5.5 hours is standard for SP4. Even SP3 gets the same battery life. Battery hasn't really changed in real world use for a while.
