I'm a long time lurker and thought it time to sign up. I'm Nathan, and live in New Zealand. I've had my i5 8gig SP3 for about 6 weeks now. I'm onto my second one as the first one was returned after 3 days as it wouldn't come out of standby. My replacement is perfect except for the usual quirks that make Surface tablets special i.e. audio pops.
I work in IT as an engineer specialising in SOE development and travel on the train into Wellington everyday. It's 1hr 20mins each way so I wanted something that wasn't as heavy as my work laptop to lug around and I could do some work on when needed and also watch movies and surf on. I'm into all things gadgety and my current project is to replace the TV media player with an HTPC.
