Lonely in here...starting thread. XPS 12

I don't expect much activity here considering it's a Surface site but I have the XPS 12, it's a pretty good hybrid especially when loaded like mine but the fan noise is ridiculous. Even at idle the fan is constant. This is my new work laptop, tried to get the Surface Pro but we're a Dell shop.

Sadly, only the low end (i5, 4GB, 128GB SSD) is available locally. If there's one candidate to replace my Acer S3, this could be it.

Whats the construction like? The flip screen does look kind of flimsy to me.

I have the XPS 15, and it's crazy good. Virtually no noise, i7, 8GB RAM, BluRay, you name it.

It's my company machine. The SP128 is my travel machine. I totally enjoy both.

Noise? My cutting-edge home machine, a VAIO i7, BluRay, 17" HD Screen, 8GB RAM...its fan SCREAMS. Until I figured out how to put it in 'silent' mode. Then? It's a mouse.

Any such feature on the XPS? If so, I'd use it!

Yes but the XPS 15 doesnt have pen input
