Lotus Notes SP3 ?

I have an old Tosh laptop and run windows 7 pro and my work has IBM Lotus Notes 8.5 for its e mail and sales logging system etc can this be used on a SP3. im in the uk and thnking of taking the plunge ?

I use Office, adobe , autodesk and an old 32 bit system called Anita, DOS based ?

Any help or advice and recommendations would be very useful ?

Lotus Notes 8.5.3 doesn't list win 8x in the supported OSs, only XP, Vista, Win7.
I'm somewhat skeptical that it would work.
Is that the only version available to you?

There could be scaling issues with Notes as well as I recall Notes had some peculiar font handling that didn't always play well.

Probably would be best to post something on then Lotus Notes forum or IBM Notes as they call it now. They would have a better idea where they are with respect to what runs on Win 8.1 and Surface. Notes may not be well suited for the high dpi screen on SP3.

Thanks for the reply but has anyone got any first hand experience with using Lotus notes on the SP3on another forum they say it is compatible confused .com
