Hi all,
Anyhow had this with a SP2017 and gotten it fixed? Tried the audio troubleshooter (typically useless), reinstalled drivers, reinstalled SurfacePro_Win10_18362_19.091.8173.0 driver package... errr.... probably tried a few other things as well. Nothing has worked. Little red x next to the audio icon on the taskbar, and if you right click on it "Speak Setup (Unknown)" is listed.
Device Manager looks mostly ok (Realtek High Definition Audio version is 6.0.1.8439), but if you show hidden devices, the Microsoft Trusted Audio Drivers has "Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45) To fix this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer"...
Even my original XT-clone PC had a PC Speaker in it....
